The Eastern Airways Euro F1 Sidecar Challenge will again join us as we welcome back the Bridgestone Thundersport 500 Championship and the BMC Filters Formula 600's. With it being the fastest circuit on our calendar, one class in particular always gets highlighted as one to watch in Norfolk as the BSN.com GP1 + Supertwins get a chance to show off their speed. Joint Championship leaders Dave Jackson and Phillip Crowe will be both hoping for rain too, the pair both run well in the wet and after a dominant performance from Peter Baker at Snetterton last year, they will be well aware that the 51 year old will be eager to close in on the pair in the standings. In the Supertwins, Lee Reveley holds a tasty lead over rivals Gibson, Liney and Adam. The 2008 Champion was even scoring some decent GP1 points during the last round at Pembrey and at present looks unstoppable at the front of the roaring class. Chrissy Rouse holds a slender 11 point lead in the Aprilia Superteen Championship at the moment. His team mate and Newcomer Callum Bey has had a taste of victory now though and his consistency could well prove to be a hard act to follow for Rouse who fell at Pembrey during the last race to prevent himself taking four from four in Wales. Mark Evans was delighted to take an early lead in the Bridgestone Thundersport 500 Championship at Mallory, his closest challenges have so far come from Chris Kingham, Jim Lovell and Jordan Whatling but you'd be foolish to rule out Darran Faulkner, Wayne Bridges and Sam Banda when we arrive at Snett on Saturday. Another class returning for this Bank Holiday bonanza is the BMC Filters Formula 600 class and defending Champion Michael Price is the man everyone is hunting after he took a first round lead of 21 points away from Mallory Park. Chris Mort, James Henry, Jody Lees and Darryl Cox are sure to be just a few of the riders looking to give the classy Price something to think about. In the LMB Streetfighters, Jamie Wilkins leads the 'A' class, Barry Utting the 'B' class and Sean Goldsmith the 'C' at present, all three have been difficult to catch in the first two rounds with Barry Utting in particular looking in good form with an impressive 8/8 wins. All three would rather not face stiffer competition in the coming rounds but if anyone is planning on mounting a title challenge, they wont want to leave it too late! The F-450.com Moto 450's have given us much pleasure so far this year with some great races. Championship leader and 2008 Champion Will Hodgson has certainly looked the most lively on the stunning Aprilia RRV450 but he faces some seriously tough opposition at Snetterton with the smooth Connor Tagg, the talented Danny Murphy and the new and improved consistent Ben Gautrey all keen to end Will's period at the top of the points table. They will be out with the Buff Supermono series and if Pembrey was anything to go by, local rider Mark Lawes may well be racing in a different postcode at Snetterton as it's rumoured he's rather quick at Snett on his BMW 720 mchine. Alex Heaton goes into round three of the Michelin GP2 class as quite a comfortable leader at the moment, the KRR team rider has impressed this season and although Alex Hutchinson and the young guns on the Aprilia 450's have all made progress in the class, Heatons bike has a good reputation at Snetterton with the Ducati Monster currently holding the circuit lap record in the class. In the Michelin Minitwins, Scotsman Andy Lawson has fired a warning to rivals Ian Popplewell and Clive White after taking all four wins at Pembrey. The Hull pairing of Popplewell and White have so far been wrapped up in their own personal battles this season but the off circuit friends will now have to work together if they want to keep with the #101 machine of Lawsons. In the Termignoni Superstock 600 class, Manchester's Marc Hughes looked ragged but very quick at Pembrey to take an early championship lead. Seb Bulpin, Newcomer Ben Field and Erol Ahmet will all look for a step better on the podium at Snetterton and Hughes may not have it all his own way in this super competitive class. Matt Davies held a small advantage over Fireplace Warehouse team mate Tom Carne after Pembrey in the Nitro GP3 class, but with the young Aussie having left the team, hope has been given to Arnie Shelton and Curtis Wright who will both look to close in on Carne who will now surely become GP3 title favourite for the time being. Scotsman Ewan Gray had a super Pembrey though and must surely be a dark horse to look out for in the series. The second round of the Eastern Airways Euro F1 Sidecar Challenge heads to Snetterton with the partnership of Tim Reeves and Gregory Cluze leading the way with a tasty lead in the Championship so far. The surprise package of Allan Schofield and Steve Thomas will have taken a lot of confidence from Pembrey though and along with current World Champions Ben and Tom Birchall, they will look to stop the former 3x World Champion Tim Reeves from taking another 3 from 3 in the series. Barry James and Carl Morgan impressed on their 15 year old outfit at Pembrey and rumour has it the pair run well at Snetterton and will surely join the likes of Ben Holland/Lee Watson and Andy Peach/Charlie Richardson as the best of the rest look to make a podium appearance in Norfolk. Don't plan anything this Bank Holiday weekend, simply take a trip down to Snetterton located between Norwich and Thetford and enjoy what should be a memorable event.
